We didn't come back champions in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene but had a great time!
The pictures were taken Monday afternoon at Lake Coeur d'Alene. The ones on the rocks are from a cliff overlooking the lake. There was a nice trail to climb up. It was good exercise for all of us after being cooped up in the car and hotel room. Twister loves to pose for the camera. Taking pictures of Rupert is like trying to take pictures of a 2-year old child. There is always something else to look at, you better point and click fast because he is off to the next thing!! We had a fun time. The lake is in over flood stage because of rain and heavy snow melt off.

Well, it's good to be home again! Enjoy the photos!

Dynamo wins Excellent 1 (first place) with CAC as well as 2nd best male under Judge Mr. Walter Holtdorf of Germany.

Dynamo now has 2 CAC and is half way to his championship!

DYNAMO IS NOW SHOWING AND WINNING IN GERMANY!

Dynamo is temporarily living with Barbel of Cavalierchen Papillons in Germany for showing. Once Dynamo gains his German Championship, he will come back home to Cadeau Papillons to work towards his AKC Championship.

AKC SANCTIONED MATCH - OLD DOMINION KENNEL CLUB OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA

Cassie and Natasha showed Solo & Tommi today at the AKC Sanctioned Match in Virginia. Solo won the breed in Papillons. Then they competed in Jr handlers where Natasha took FIRST with Tommi and Cassie took SECOND with Solo. Tommi also got his CGC (Canine Good Citizenship) award with Natasha handling him. So, despite the snow coming down today, the kids had a whole lot of fun showing dogs and the dogs got a lot of good show practice in.

APOLLO -- 8 MONTHS OF AGE

Hi Elise! We just got back from our Dog Show in Wiley City! We got Reserve Grand Champion in Fitting and Showing and doubled our score (114/200) for a white in Obedience! He did so wonderfully! I am so happy! Twister sends lots of kisses and wiggles!

TWISTER & ELIZABETH UPDATE -- SHOW IN MOUNT VERNON

We took Twister to a show in Mount Vernon over the July 1 - 2 weekend. The weather was great and we had a good time. Twister placed first in both of his puppy breed classes (only one!) and they placed 4th in Jr. Showmanship on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday!! Even though he hasn't placed outside of the puppy class, he is starting to get noticed by the other papillon people. We had quite a few comments on how pretty his face is, what good ears he has and nice ear fringe! I think as he matures a bit, it will all come together! Elizabeth is really enjoying herself in the ring.

The three of us stayed in a hotel! Twister was really good and no accidents! Sunday morning we had a lot of time between 8:00 am Junior Showmanship, 11:00 hotel check out, and 12:15 breed class. So we went back to the room after the first class and played fetch with the little tennis ball for almost two hours! He was more calm in the second class. LOL We bought him a crate pad (with butterflies on it) which he rolled all over on, around and around, back and forth, and over! It was hilarious to watch him.

Hope all is well with everyone. We saw on your website that the lady we talked to, bought one of the new puppies. We know she will be so happy and fall in love with him.

This weekend we have a 4-H show in Ellensburg, about 35 minutes north of Yakima.

TWISTER TURNS 6 MONTHS OLD

TWISTER UPDATE -- APRIL 26, 2006

WOW... it's so hard to believe how fast time flies! Twister is 5 months old already? Boy!!!

Twister is 5 months old today! We woke him up to take the picture with Elizabeth so he has a sleepy face! He is learning so much! He walks on a lead now and is strutting his stuff. He likes to take the leash in his teeth and then run, jump and bounce!

He had a good 4-H session on Sunday with a lot of improvement in the last two weeks. He continues to be the center of attention wherever he goes! He is still coming to work and has an office full of toys to play with. He loves to play fetch with the little tennis balls. He will pick one up and drop it on the floor next to my chair. I roll it, he chases it, chews on it, and then brings it back and drops it. If I don't pay attention to it right away, he will pick it up and drop it until I do! We really love him so much!!!

We are going to a show in Walla Walla on Sunday to observe. I want Elizabeth to watch some competition, get the feel for it, and watch the other papillons and exihibitors. There are only 3 junior novice entries in Junior Showmanship and I want her to watch that class as well. The entries for the Yakima show close on May 12.

Hope all is going well with you guys! We check out your website to try to keep up with everything. Oh - Elizabeth is in special computer class after school. The project teaches students how to use technology and then the kids teach the teachers how to use it in their classrooms. Elizabeth is very good at it. One of their assignments was to review 3 different websites and grade them on certain established criteria. You should be pleased to know that your website received an "Excellent"! Congratulations!

TWISTER UPDATE MARCH 21, 2006

Dear Elise & Melissa,

Here is Twister's latest photo op! He is just too cute! He is learning to walk on a leash and this morning navigated the stairs at work to go outside. When our boss came in this morning he ran "Nascar" laps around her and the living room - must have been 5 or 6 times. Then he just laid down at her feet! She said she wished everyone were that excited to see her come in each morning and that we would also bow at her feet!

He seems to be doing well - happy, playful, growing! He has been interacting with the kitties :). He also had the opportunity to "meet" some other dogs Saturday at my son's baseball game. One was a pug and one a min pin. They all got along great. We are cautious though because he is so small. I am also finding that we are doing a lot of teaching about papillons in general. There doesn't seem to be a lot around here although someone (and I have to remember who) said one of their friends has 2 and is really into showing with AKC.

I am looking into a B match in April on the west side that has a 3-6 month puppy class. I thought it would be good training/learning experience for both Elizabeth and Twister.

Elizabeth says "Hi" and Twister sends lots of wiggles and kisses!

TWISTER LEAVES FOR HIS NEW SHOW HOME

Cadeau's Shake Rattle 'N Roll ("Twister") will be flying off this weekend to his new home in Seattle, Washington. Elizabeth is very excited about her new little show prospect for junior handling as well as AKC conformation, agility and obedience events. Look for Twister in the ring this summer!

Here he is wearing his new pretty sweater that is sure to keep him warm for the flight.

We will be really sorry to see him leave here but we are so very excited about his upcoming show career with Elizabeth.
